First, check to see if Webex is up and running properly. You can check https://status.webex.com to get the latest status. Or, on Webex for Windows and Mac, you can also use the Health Checker within the app itself.

You should also make sure you don't have anything on your Wi-Fi network, such as a firewall, that might be preventing you from using Webex. If you are using Webex for iPhone, iPad, or Android, try switching to your mobile data connection. If the app works when you're connected to mobile data, then the Wi-Fi connection might be blocking Webex traffic. If you're using Webex at work, report this issue to your administrator.

  • Webex is your one easy-to-use and secure app to call, message, meet and get work done. Meet Host video conferences with HD video, audio and screen sharing.
  • Webex is a collaboration tool that allows you to schedule, join and participate in live video meetings, 1:1 and team messaging, whiteboarding, and screen and content sharing. If you have low bandwidth or a poor internet connection, it can impact your Webex experience. You’ll see a notification on screen to let you know.
  • It is as if creating an account on webex teams prior to having a company account prevents it to connect to the company network aferward. They are in communication with Webex techs to try and figure out how to connect their teams account to their webex account. Not sure if that makes sense, but even the techs seem lost!

If the problems persist, you can contact your company's support team, or open a support case for Webex.

Most issues discovered with the Microsoft Teams client can be traced back to firewall or proxy connectivity. Verifying that the necessary URLs, IP addresses and ports are opened in your firewall or proxy will minimize unnecessary troubleshooting. For specific information on URLs and IPs required for Microsoft Teams, please see the Microsoft 365 and Office 365 URLs and IP Address support article. The following scenarios require specific URLs and ports to be opened in the firewall.

When Teams is offline or in low bandwidth conditions

Webex Teams Says Offline No Internet Connection

The good news is that Teams keeps running even when you're offline or running in low bandwidth conditions. Teams saves all your unsent messages for existing chats (for up to 24 hours) and sends them as soon as you're back online. If you're offline for longer than 24 hours, Teams lets you choose to resend or delete unsent messages. We're working on adding this functionality to new chats and will update this documentation when that's available.
